OT - Life lesson
A young couple moved into a new neighborhood
the next morning while they were eating breakfast,
the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
'That laundry is not very clean,' she said.
'She doesn't know how to wash correctly, or perhaps she
needs to buy better laundry soap.'
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,
the young woman would make the same negative comments.
About a month later, the woman was surprised to see a
nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:
'Look, she has FINALLY learned how to wash correctly.
I wonder who taught her this.'
The husband replied, 'I got up early this morning and
cleaned YOUR windows.'
And so it is with life. What we see when watching others
depends on how clean our window through which we look is.

You know.... I totally take your point. And I agree with it as meant.
I'm thinking that they are HIS windows as well as hers. She was being nasty and judgmental about the other woman's house-keeping skills. He was doing the same about hers. And why *shouldn't* he do the windows?
I'm just sayin

"It's so beautifully arranged on the plate - you know someone's fingers have been all over it. ~Julia Child"
A good point Dennie - you can substitute "OUR" for "YOUR" and the message is still valid.
Another thought - the husband listened to the views and opinions expressed by the wife, but rather than mindlessly agree, he chose to think about it, studied and researched the situation, and found that the problem was actually with the limited view his wife had through the window and not with the neighbor's skills, tools or laundry methods. He then took action to correct the problem.
Like I said - I thought this little story had some good points.
